Yesterday, 10 October 2024, in the framework of the E.DSO General Assembly held at Electricity Authority of Cyprus premises in Limassol, Cyprus, E.DSO was pleased to welcome Electrodistribution Grid West EAD (EPM ZAPAD), Bulgaria and Sibelga scrl, Belgium, as new members from October 2024 and January 2025, respectively.
Electrodistribution Grid West EAD’s core business consists of the operation, maintenance and development of the power distribution network and distribution of electric power in the Bulgarian capital, Sofia, as well as the Sofia region, Blagoevgrad, Kyustendil, Pernik, Pleven, Lovech, Montana, Vratsa, and Vidin. Sibelga scrl is the operator of the electricity (and natural gas) distribution network for the 19 municipalities in the Brussels-Capital Region.
With the addition of Electrodistribution Grid West EAD and Sibelga scrl, E.DSO’s membership will encompass 35 leading electricity DSOs and two national associations in 20 European countries.
