On 26 February, E.DSO, EU DSO Entity, and Eurelectric attended, among other energy stakeholders, the Clean Transition Dialogue hosted by the Vice-President of the European Commission, Maroš Šefčovič, sharing the perspective of distribution grids on the challenges and potential solutions to implement the European Green Deal’s energy and climate objectives.
On 7 March, the three associations shared their support for the initiative and shared a joint proposal on how to keep the dialogue ongoing. While a fast action is needed and it is highlighted in the joint statement, two more dialogues should be organised by June, focusing on:
- Investments, access to capital and regulatory framework
- Build-out pre-requisites: supply chain, staffing, permitting, etc.
