Technologies and digital developments are transforming the energy sector. The pace of digital change and its impact will continue to accelerate and with it come intriguing new questions bout benefits and unintended consequences to the power sector. The upcoming Action Plan on Digitalisation of the energy sector, should be the new sectorial EU digital initiative and technological framework enabling trustful and digitally enabled interactions. For this reason, E.DSO, Eurelectric, EHPA, SolarPower and WindEurope published today a joined statement on aspects related to the upcoming EU Action Plan, intending to frame the key recommendations on the main drivers of digitalisation of the power sector, namely related to:
- Data access, control and sharing leveraged on interoperability
- Privacy and Data Protection
- Cybersecurity and
- Technological sovereignty.
