The Association of European Distribution System Operators (E.DSO), the European Energy Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (EE-ISAC), the European Network for Cyber Security (ENCS) and the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) hosted a public conference on power grid cybersecurity in Brussels on 1 October 2024.
This year’s conference brought together once again experts in the field of grid cybersecurity to exchange on the latest developments in the threat landscape and on the fundamental impact of cybersecurity legislation on the energy sector.
How can the European regulations on cybersecurity be developed in a harmonised way, managing risks, avoiding gaps and overlaps? What is expected from the various stakeholders, what are the main challenges and how can resilience be assessed? Are the different actors able to keep up with the cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities, ensuring supply chain security? These and other topics were tackled during the event, together with concrete case studies of network attacks.
