EUSEW 2015: IDEAS to capture the potential of flexible demand
IDEAS is a unique, informal platform of over 15 industry associations, green NGOs and think-tanks promoting IDEAS to innovate Europe’s energy systems. Its mission is to help building the vision of future European Flexible Energy Market – Full demand side participation at every level of a dynamic, smart and integrated grid to enhance demand and supply flexibility and consumer choice.
This workshop will explore ways to capture the untapped, and enormous, potential of demand side participation, by identifying the main benefits and barriers to implementation “on the spot” of demand side management, encouraging the development of an ambitious and coordinated EU policy on demand side management and preparing key recommendations for future political action.
The event will take place in the framework of the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) from 11:00 to 12:30 on 17 June at the European Commission Charlemagne Building, Mansholt Room.
