The lack of information about alarm-triggering events in primary and secondary substations can lead operators to perform inappropriate actions, possibly causing additional damage and long-term losses. To address this challenge, E-REDES Distribución launched the Distribution Network Webcams project aimed at developing a dashboard for detecting, classifying and managing alarms.
The application of artificial vision models to multimedia content recorded by cameras installed in the substation and the integration with the E-REDES Advanced Distribution Management System allows for the rapid detection and analysis of triggering events. As a result, accurate information about the nature of the event can be provided to operators supporting the decision of their line of action.
